Reviews about Grouse Mountain

This mountain is spectacular. As a Manitoban, I can say that this was definitely one of the first mountains I experienced in more ways then just driving past. You can easily get to the base of the mountain via public transit and there is paid parking if you have driven as weĺl. The Gondola ride is a bit spooky although I am afraid of heights. Once on the top you forget that you're so high up. I find that most people aren't so amazed by the natural beauty here. As someone who didn't grow up around mountains I would definitely recommend this place to any visitor's. I have been there twice, it is very easy to spend a whole day here. You can go snowboarding, skiing or just take a general ride up and walk around, rent snow shoes, go sledding, ride this huge sleigh or go "skating". The ice rink is small but I can see its appeal if you're not used to it. There is a canteen with good food, a fancier restaurant that serves comfort food and several gift shops. All in all I would definitely recommend and I always take my visitors there!

You can't miss Grouse Mountain if you are in Vancouver. In a mere 20 minute drive or 40 minute commute from downtown, you will immerse yourself in a breathtaking and completely accessible environment. If you are lucky and visit on a clear sky day, sightseeing will occupy a great portion of your stay. The city is easily visible from atop. Starbucks and a restaurant will be your only choices for food, but I can assure you that it's enough. Skiing and snowboarding are priced reasonably, and you will have no hassle in paying the fees for a great experience. Don't forget to keep warm and bring gloves, a hat, socks and comfy clothes.
